| I was living in a foreign country for a few months for work and finding it extremely lonely. In fact, as I looked back on the last couple years I realized that I had been moving around a lot, looking for a home, a place where I could put down roots. I sent Ed an email discussing this quest and asking if he could put all of it in a painting. I was sort of half joking when I wrote it! Its been several years since that lonely time and every morning when I wake up and see the painting I think about the life Im building for myself. I think about how sometimes you just have to put your dreams into words (or paint!) for them to manifest. It reminds me that home is wherever I am and wherever I hang this painting! |
